Performed at a 30 Year Old Birthday Party this this past weekend. It was charming. Backyard event with all the family and friends. Birthday your woman is a English Teacher at a local College. The audience was welcoming and engaged and enjoyed every minute of my hour long standup performance.
My particular style draws heavily from the audiences energy and willingness to become involved with the entire performance. Few pieces to just sit and watch, more requiring them to help and be part of the show.
I wasn’t disappointed in the things that I showed from my vault of magical knowledge and neither so it seemed was my audience.
The only difficulty that I never disclosed to the group was I had been diagnosed with pneumonia just a few days before and had just enough medication on board to be considered non-communicable yet still quite sick. Only the adrenaline from the body made the performance what it was and a 5 star review followed on Yelp.
I love my job, even when I don’t.
